The Listening

Your body has been speaking the whole time. The Listening is where you learn to read what it's been saying.

For the body that has been waiting for the conversation to switch direction. This is the second instrument.

You know yourself well. You pay real attention to your inner life. And there is something that keeps calling for attention. A pattern that keeps returning. A tension you can name but your body keeps holding.
That isn't a sign that you need more information. It's a sign that the conversation needs to switch direction. From mind to body. From understanding to noticing.
Your body has been speaking the whole time. The Listening is where you learn the language.
Misty horizon where the ocean meets the sky, body literacy in Hong Kong

Where this takes you.

Four small shifts most participants describe after the four weeks.

Concentric ripples on a calm water surface

You walk into a hard meeting and notice the tightening in your jaw before it pulls you under.

You leave dinner with a friend and can tell the difference between tired and depleted.

You feel a pull toward something and trust it, because your body has been telling you for a while and you finally heard it.

You wake up at 3am, put a hand on your sternum, and your body answers in a language you finally understand.

The conversation between you and your body is no longer one way. You stopped overriding. You started listening.

The four sessions.

Each session builds on the last. You start with safety. You end with a practice you can keep.

01
Week 1 · 2 Hours
Orienting and grounding
What a felt sense actually is. Settling into the room. The first practice of noticing without explaining. Building the safety the body needs before it'll show you anything else.
By the end: most participants leave with a working felt sense vocabulary and one practice they can do anywhere.
02
Week 2 · 2 Hours
Tracking sensation without story
Separating the data from the interpretation. Learning to stay with what's actually here, not what your mind is making it mean. This is where the work starts to get real.
By the end: most participants can describe what they're feeling without reaching for an explanation of why.
03
Week 3 · 2 Hours
Resourcing
Finding the places in your body that are already settled. Building a felt vocabulary for what good feels like, so you can recognise it later. The opposite of trauma work. The home base.
By the end: most participants have identified their personal resources and can return to them at will.
04
Week 4 · 2 Hours
Integration
Taking the practice into the rest of your life. How to use this in a meeting, in bed at 3am, in a conversation that's going sideways. The version of you that takes this home.
By the end: most participants have a clear take-home practice and a felt sense of how to use it.

Gentle foam meeting the shore at golden hour

In the first session, most people can't feel anything below their neck. By week three, the same body usually has plenty to say.

What to expect.

Honesty up front about what's hard, what's not, and what The Listening actually is.

Water droplets on a single blade, the intimacy of noticing
In the first session.

Most people can't feel much below their neck. That isn't a sign of being broken. It's a sign of having lived in your head for a long time. You'll be supported through it.

Somewhere in week two or three.

Things surface. Old tension that hadn't moved. Emotion attached to nothing you can name. This is the work, and it's the part where most one-off workshops leave you. The group holds it, and the science backs it up: one regulated nervous system settles the others. That's polyvagal, not metaphor. The next session integrates what surfaced.

By week four.

The same body that felt blank in session one usually has plenty to say. The practice is yours. The skill stays with you.

What you walk out with.

A working relationship with the body you live in. Not a series of workshops you forget.

Sunlight shimmering on water at golden hour
01
A working felt sense.
You check in with your body and get a useful answer. Not most days. Every day.
02
A take-home practice.
Something for the meeting, the train, the 3am. Not a 45-minute ritual. A 90-second skill that travels with you.
03
A different relationship with yourself.
You stop being surprised by your own exhaustion. You start trusting your body's signals, and that changes a lot of other things downstream.

About me.

The work is somatic. The frame is nervous system. The voice is mine.

Faith Lantz, somatic wellness practitioner, Hong Kong

I'm Faith Lantz, a somatic wellness practitioner based in Central, Hong Kong. I'm a certified Biodynamic and Upledger Craniosacral Therapist, a certified Rebirthing Breathwork practitioner, and I'm completing a 3-year professional training in Somatic Experiencing, the body-based trauma approach developed by Dr. Peter Levine.

I run a private practice in Central, Hong Kong. The people who find their way to me are ready to work at the level of the body. They bring curiosity, a willingness to slow down, and a sense that there is more to reach.

The Listening is the work I wish someone had handed me ten years ago. The thing under the other things. Where the lasting shift lives.

Trained, experienced, in practice.

The science behind the work, the training behind the practice, and the lineage it draws on.

The science.

The Listening is grounded in polyvagal theory, interoception research, and the body-based trauma work of Peter Levine, Bessel van der Kolk, Stephen Porges, and Gabor Maté. The science is real. The practice is what makes it land in your body.

The training.

Certified Biodynamic and Upledger Craniosacral Therapist. Certified Rebirthing Breathwork practitioner. Completing the 3-year professional training in Somatic Experiencing, the gold standard in trauma resolution. Active practice in Central, Hong Kong.

Light through water, the science of nervous system regulation

Body literacy is the second instrument. Most people never learn to play it.

The format.

Four weeks. Small group. One practice you keep.
